Happy St. Patrick's Day! We had a great time at the Children's Health Education Center today. We had to wake up "Big Mouth." We learned the four basic things to help take good care of our teeth. 1) We need to brush at least 2 times every day. We also learned not to forget about brushing out tongue too. 2) We should floss everyday too! 3) Our teeth need fluoride to get and stay strong. We can get fluoride from water, toothpaste, and at the dentist. And finally, 4) we need to visit the dentist 2 times a year. When a primary tooth falls out, a permanent one grows in.
Did you know that we have 20 primary teeth and 32 permanent teeth?
The permanent teeth have roots! We thought only trees and plants had roots!
