When our third insect, the Milkweed Bug, arrived, the first thing we had to do was create a habitat for it. We used a large bag for it's space and punched little holes in it with a push pin to provide air. Then we added sticks and cotton to the bag. Our insects need food, so we made pouches of sunflower seeds so that they could eat the sunflower seed oil. Finally, we created a water foutain with a vial and paper towel. Each table now has their own milkweed habitat to watch and learn from!
